This interactive forum will focus on the different elements of pronunciation, exploring some theory related to phonology and how research can inform teachers’ practice. Participants will explore approaches to teaching pronunciation explicitly, as well as strategies to incorporate pronunciation into the teaching of reading, writing and oral communication.

Why is break not rhymed with freak?

Cannot rhyme his horse with worse?
Beard is not the same as heard
Cord is different from word.
Cow is cow but low is low
Shoe is never rhymed with foe.
